ASUS and Gigabyte Hardware Support
The latest L-Connect 3 x OpenRGB beta now supports a wide range of ASUS and Gigabyte hardware.
If your device from either brand is not functioning as expected, please report the model to us for review.
Note: The Gigabyte Z890 AORUS XTREME AI TOP is currently not supported.

Troubleshooting & Optimization Tips

Slow Service Startup Is Normal
L-Connect 3 may take a few extra seconds to launch or apply settings during startup. This is expected and does not affect performance or functionality.

L-Connect 3 Keeps Prompting to Close a Service or .exe?

This is likely caused by a watchdog process (auto-restart) tied to a third-party service.
Solution:

      1. Open Windows Services
      2. Locate the service being flagged
      3. Set Startup Type to Manual
      4. Manually stop the service

Want to Speed Up L-Connect 3 Startup?

You can try the following:

      1. Go to L-Connect 3 Settings
      2. Change “Delayed Startup Time” from the default 3 seconds to 0 seconds
      3. Enable Windows Fast Startup (sleep instead of full shutdown) for quicker OpenRGB initialization

Enable “Lock Bound” for Wireless Stability

In this beta version, LIAN LI wireless devices require “Lock Bound” to be enabled in the L-Wireless Setup page within L-Connect 3.
Enabling Lock Bound ensures stable wireless communication and prevents disconnection or lighting glitches during use.

Dynamic Lighting Uses More CPU Resources

Running dynamic lighting effects will consume more CPU resources compared to static color lighting, which uses minimal CPU.
This is normal behavior in the current beta.
We are working to optimize performance in future updates.

LIAN LI Product Support in Beta

      1. Only wireless LIAN LI products are officially supported in the current beta.
      2. If you wish to sync wired LIAN LI products (excluding GALAHAD II LCD AIO),
        1. Toggle MB Lighting Sync in L-Connect 3.
        2. Toggle OpenRGB.
        3. Set LED count for your wired LIAN LI products.

Disable Windows Dynamic Lighting

To prevent system-level lighting conflicts:

      1. Go to Windows Settings → Personalization → Dynamic Lighting
      2. Set “Use Dynamic Lighting on my devices” to Off

NZXT CAM Software Conflict Resolved

      • We’ve resolved the conflict between NZXT CAM, so users can now run NZXT CAM to control NZXT devices while using OpenRGB via L-Connect 3 for other lighting control.
      • When “Conflicting Process Running” prompt pops up in L-Connect 3, press “ignore”.

How to Manually Disable ASUS Aura Sync Lighting Service for OpenRGB Compatibility
If you still need ASUS Aura Sync to control certain components but want to use OpenRGB via L-Connect 3 for lighting control, you can disable the ASUS lighting service to avoid conflicts:

      1. In ASUS Aura Sync, set device color to static.
      2. Open L-Connect 3, and toggle “OpenRGB”
      3. Open Services
      4. Look for “ASUS AURA SYNC Lighting Service”
      5. Right-click the service and select End Task
      6. When “Conflicting Process Running” prompt pops up in L-Connect 3, press “ignore”

Important Notice for Gigabyte Motherboard Users

If you're using a Gigabyte motherboard, you have to follow these steps to ensure proper device control and avoid software conflicts:

      1. Open GCC (Gigabyte Control Center)
      2. Use it to update all software and drivers to the latest version
      3. Once updates are complete, uninstall GCC from your system to prevent lighting and control conflicts.
GPU Related

GPU Lighting Not Working?
If your GPU’s lighting is off or unresponsive, perform a full power cycle (Shut down your PC completely → Power it back on).
Rest assured, your GPU is not damaged.

Memory Related

Using Corsair Vengeance or Dominator RGB DRAM?
To ensure the best compatibility with L-Connect 3 OpenRGB Beta, follow these steps:
Uninstall Corsair iCUE. This is the most reliable way to prevent software conflicts and ensure OpenRGB can control your Corsair memory lighting.
If you’re using Corsair Dominator RGB DRAM, you have to uninstall motherboard software to prevent any control conflict.
Note: If Corsair memory loses control, perform a full power cycle.

Additional Memory Support

Added support for Kingston FURY RGB memory (Note: May experience minor lag or delay in lighting response due to hardware nature of the DRAM).
