1. TL/SL Wireless LCD Fans Are Uncontrollable (e.g. 2 or 3 fans, one screen fails to respond):
1.1. Check if power is supplied from included SATA-PWM splitter or PWM 12V Hub (such as Edge Hub or Edge Gold’s Hub).
1.2. Ensure you’re using the latest L-Connect 3 version. If not, update and test again, and if restart service & UI, and restart LCD button doesn’t fix move to next step.
1.3. If your fans previously worked, check Device Manager:
- 1.3.1. If the device appears,
- 1.3.1.1 Turn off pc, unplug the working SL/TL LCD’s USB, and only have non-working ones connected.
- 1.3.1.2 Turn on PC, uninstall L-Connect 3, disable “Fast Startup” in windows, uninstall the SL/TL wireless LCD from Device Manager (SL might name as SLV3)
- 1.3.1.3 Shut down, unplug issued one LCD fan’s USB from the motherboard, wait 3 sec, then re-plug USB back.
- 1.3.1.4 Reinstall L-Connect 3 (make sure to install latest beta)
- 1.3.2. If not visible, remove and uninstall the fan group from the PC, plug the USB of that group directly to MB 2.0 internal port, but only connect the fan that is not responding, and if then:
- 1.3.2.1. That fan is still not detected, contact us via “form” with this result.
- 1.3.2.2. That fan turns to unknown device, contact us via “form” with this result.
- 1.3.2.3. That fan gets detected, then connect rest of fans after that fan to check again if rest of the LCDs are all detected. And, if with new shuffled order, the new third fan still not-responding and not detected, contact us via “form” with this result.
1.4. If you have a new build, and the TL/SL Wireless LCD Fans Are Uncontrollable (e.g. 2 or 3 fans, one screen fails to respond):
- 1.4.1. If the fans are detected in Device Manager, repeat the steps starting from step 1.1.
- 1.4.2. If the fans are not detected in Device manager:
- 1.4.2.1. Make sure your motherboard chipset drivers and Windows updates are fully up to date.
- 1.4.2.2. It’s likely that too many devices are connected to the same USB header. In this case, use USB splitters or reduce device count. For users with the EDGE Hub, we recommend connecting no more than 6 devices per hub, and plugging the hub into the rear I/O USB-A port on the motherboard.
- 1.4.2.3. If this doesn’t work, please begin from step 1.1. and check power stability.
If a group of TL LCD Wireless is has 1 or 2 fans not showing lighting / screen not detected in device manager/ screen not lit up:
2.1 Check the back of the fan hub and check the manufactured date.
2.2 If the fan is manufactured between April 12th and May 15th of 2025
- Then the fans potentially have bad pogo-pin contact.
- Contact us via “form” with this result, and RMA the entire fan group.
- If the fan is not manufactured between April 12th and Mayth of 2025
- Follow step 1.
3. LCD Appears in L Wireless Sync Utility but Won’t Respond
3.1. Check if power is supplied from included SATA-PWM splitter or PWM 12V Hub (such as Edge Hub or Edge Gold’s Hub).
3.2. Download the latest L-Connect 3 version. A bug may cause L-Connect 3 to show device options even if the USB connection failed to initialize. This will be fixed in 2.0.32 (we included fix in the beta).
3.3. Switch to another tab and back, then click the LCD group again. If the fan disappears, click Restart LCD to reinitialize USB.
4. LCD Screen(s) Missing or Unresponsive, But Device Manager Detects Device
4.1. If user isn’t using LIAN LI’s hub, check whether the 3rd-party hub supports external power. TL/SL LCD needs USB power so unpowered hubs will cause instability.
4.2. Limit total connected USB devices per USB 2.0 port to 6. For example, if you have 2 sets of 3 LCD fans, connect one set to port 1 (direct to motherboard) and the other set to port 2 via hub.
4.3. If you have two fans in one group and three in another, and also USB from AIO, we recommend:
- 2 fans → Port 1
- AIO or single USB → Port 2
- 3 fans → Port 3
This ensures balanced load across hub controller ports.
4.4. We recommend using LIAN LI EDGE Hub (EG-01) or EDGE GOLD / EDGE Platinum PSUs.
4.5. If total USB devices exceed 9, keep motherboard USB 2.0 port count under 9. Move devices to rear I/O USB-A instead. Connect wireless dongles to USB-A to avoid motherboard 2.0 port congestion. SL/TL LCDs should connect directly to motherboard USB 2.0 if possible.
5. TL/SL Wireless LCD Fans Lose Screen Memory or Require Clicking Restart LCD After Boot
- LIAN LI USB Hub = max 6 devices
- Other powered hubs = max 4 devices
6. TL/SL Wireless LCD Fans Lose Settings After Sleep/Wake

20. HydroShift II LCD-C Not Detected via USB in L-Connect 3
20.1. Make sure the L-Connect 3 version is 2.0.31 or later.
20.2. First, check if Device Manager detects HydroShift II. If detected, uninstall H2 from Device Manager, shut down, unplug/replug the USB. This forces Windows to rescan USB devices, in case of an uninitialized USB path.
20.3. If not detected at all, go into BIOS and change the connected PWM header (CPU_FAN or AIO_PUMP) to DC mode and set it to Full Speed. This ensures enough voltage is supplied for USB initialization.
21. HydroShift II LCD-C: Wireless Mode Issues – No Display, Long Bind Time, Screen Content Disappears in Wireless Mode
21.1. These problems are caused by weak wireless signal.
Recommend to plug the L-Wireless Controller directly into the motherboard’s rear I/O USB Type-A port.
21.2 After above done, make sure to lock in wireless sync setup page.
22. HydroShift II LCD-C (Especially CL Version) – Unable to Control Pump & Fan Speed in USB Mode
L-Connect 3 version 2.0.31 has already fixed this issue.
If the issue persists, please check the fans’ connection. See if the pogo pin came loose on the fan, and if the pogo pin’s cable is properly connected to the PCB.
If the issue still persists, then contact us via “form” with this result to replace the LCD cap.
23. HydroShift II LCD-C – L-Connect 3 Doesn’t Detect Fan RPM
23.1. Ensure the power-supplying PWM cable is connected to the motherboard’s CPU_FAN or AIO_PUMP header, and adjust setting in bios from AUTO to DC mode and set it to Full Speed.
24. HydroShift II LCD-C – Motherboard Doesn’t Read Pump RPM
23.1. Certain motherboards (e.g., X870 Carbon WiFi) use PWM resistor logic that conflicts with HydroShift II LCD-C, resulting in missing RPM data.
Solution:
- Use the 6-pin power cable.
- Connect the 4-pin to SYS_FAN (for RPM signal), and the 2-pin to CPU_FAN (to ensure adequate power).
If the method above doesn’t work (happens to some motherboards), please manually update the HydroShift II’s firmware.
25. HydroShift II LCD-C – High-Frequency Buzzing Noise from Pump Motor
25.1. Set pump speed manually to a constant 2200 RPM and run it for a while to see if the noise improves.
25.2. Take off the radiator, tighten up screws from side of the radiator that hold tubing organization bracket, install radiator back and tighten up screws through 140mm holes for tubing organization bracket. The above steps will prevent any potential vibration.
26. Rattling noise coming from HydroShift II LCD-C
