1. Fan Lighting Occasionally Resets to Rainbow on Boot or at Random

1.1 Check if power is supplied from the included SATA-PWM splitter or PWM 12V Hub (such as Edge Hub or Edge Gold’s Hub).

1.2 Check if updating to L-Connect 3’s latest version improves behavior. It enables auto re-application of lighting settings.

2. Wireless Sync List Shows “Unknown Device” and Won’t Revert

2.1 Confirm software version is on the latest version

2.2 Follow the steps:

    1. With PC on, unplug the power/receiver module from the fan group with issue.
    2. Find LIAN LI icon on Windows bottom right corner, right clicks to shutdown service
    3. Wait 10 seconds.
    4. Unplug the L-Wireless controller.
    5. Plug the power/receiver module back to the fan group.
    6. Plug the L-Wireless controller back.
    7. Right click LIAN LI icon again to restart service.
3. If Unknown Device still exist: Unknown Device Debug.pdf

Unknown Device Debug.pdf

3.1 This likely means the one of the fan’s output port is faulty.

3.2 Remove the third fan (the fan the receiver is attached to is counted as first)

3.3 Shutdown and restart L-Connect service by clicking the icon on the bottom right corner. But before doing so, make sure the Lock Bound Device button is not toggled.

3.4 If “Unknown Device” still exists

3.5 Then the first fan’s output port is faulty, move it to the third position

3.6 If “UnknownDevice” disappears

    1. Then the second fan’s output port is faulty, move it to the third position
    2. Restart L-Connect 3 service
    3. If swapping doesn’t fix the issue, then contact us via “form” with this result to replace the entire fan group.
4. The fan is only showing partial lighting, and also causing the fan connect after to lose lighting

4.1 Check if power is supplied from included SATA-PWM splitter or PWM 12V Hub (such as Edge Hub or Edge Gold’s Hub).

4.2 Swap the receiver between different fan groups to check if it’s the receiver causing the issue.

4.3 If the issue persists, then contact us via “form” with this result to replace that fan.

5. Devices Missing from Wireless Sync Setup List (Disappeared from UI)

5.1 Confirm L-Connect version is on the latest version

5.2 Check if Wireless fan’s power is supplied from included SATA-PWM splitter or PWM 12V Hub (such as Edge Hub or Edge Gold’s Hub).

5.3 Close the L-Connect 3 service, wait 10 sec, unplug the wireless dongle, and plug it into the rear I/O USB-A (rear USB port recommended). Restart the service afterward.

5.4 If the devices still don’t appear, then contact us via “form” with this result.

6. One Wireless Fan Group Loses Lighting After Boot (Lighting Doesn’t Apply)

6.1 In Wireless Sync Setup, click the lightbulb icon to check for yellow light response.

6.2 If the yellow light shows: unplug and replug the receiver from the fan to reset communication.

6.3 If there’s no yellow light: unplug and replug the receiver’s 12V power source.

6.4 If issue persists, then contact us via “form” with this result.

7. Wireless Device Lighting Turns Abnormal After Boot or During Idle

7.1 Check that the power source is sufficient—confirm SATA is connected or new receiver is properly installed as per the manual.

7.2 Make sure to update L-Connect 3 to the latest version.

7.3 If the problem is reoccurring, then contact us via “form” with this result.

8. SL-INF Wireless Fans Randomly Ramp to Full Speed

8.1 Make sure update the L3 to latest version

8.2 Plug the 4-pin into the motherboard, and optionally plug the 2-pin to SATA or motherboard.

9. SL-INF Wireless Settings Randomly Reset (Name, RPM, Lighting Presets)

9.1 Make sure update L-Connect 3 to the latest version

9.2 Use Wireless Sync Lock feature to prevent this by locking bound devices.

10. SL-INF Wireless: Bright Static Colors (like White or Rainbow) Flash Erratically at High RPM

10.1 This is caused by a faulty resistor on one of the fans. Contact us via “form” with this result.

11. If your UNI FAN SL-INF Wireless shows signs of: Higher fan speed than expected within a fan group / Unstable or fluctuating fan RPM / Slow response to fan speed changes in L-Connect 3

11.1 Change the wireless channel in L-Connect 3 to resolve the issue.

12. I’m using LIAN LI Wireless devices, and every time I start the system, L-Connect 3 takes a long time to open.

12.1 By default, the software delays the Service startup by 3 seconds after boot. You can change this to 0 seconds in the Settings menu.

12.2 Additionally, the wireless transmitter initialization has an extra 5-second delay, which can make the startup feel even longer.

12.3 We recommend enabling Fast Startup in Windows and setting the shutdown behavior to Sleep instead of full power-off for a faster startup experience.

13. I’m using the LIAN LI wireless device and have confirmed that all wireless dongles are properly connected. I’ve also updated to the latest software, but I still don’t see the wireless sync setup option.

13.1 Go to windows service

13.2 Find Windows Management Instrumentation

13.3 Make sure that is running, and set it to auto-run

14. Faulty Wireless Dongle – Signs and Symptoms

14.1 Binding/unbinding and lightbulb click works, but lighting signals are received inconsistently or slowly by some fans – likely a faulty antenna, then contact us via “form” with this result

14.2 L-Connect 3 takes a very long time to launch or hangs until restart – indicates USB instability, then contact us via “form” with this result.

14.3 Lighting effects like Quick Sync or Merge show jittering/glitching – signal timing errors from a faulty wireless controller, then contact us via “form” with this result.
