● My TL controller cannot be recognized by L-Connect 3, and doesn’t show up in device manager.

● After Boot, Fans Revert to Rainbow and L-Connect 3 Loses Lighting & Speed Control – Requires Reboot

● If UNI FAN TL's controller is suddenly showing up as an "Unknown Device" under "Universal Serial Bus controller" or when L-Connect 3 suddenly cannot detect TL controller:

● The fan numbers in the L-CONNECT3 software are duplicated.

● One or more of my UNI FAN TL LCD screens is not functioning (e.g., only displaying the LIAN LI logo, or L-Connect 3 doesn’t fully recognize the fan).

● How many TL controllers or TL LCD fans can be connected?

● TL LCD and the controller lose the USB connection time to time.

● One of LCD screen is not displaying after FW update.

● Connected more than 7 TL fans to a port, the fan speed isn't stablize and the white color LED turns yellow.

● UNI FAN TL LCD screen is laggy and sometime flashes.

● The L-Connect 3 doesn't detect TL series fans.

● Unable to control the TL LCD screen suddenly.

My TL controller cannot be recognized by L-Connect 3, and doesn’t show up in device manager.

1. Possibly due to a failed FW update, please download this FW tool.
2. Extract the zip file.
3. Click “upgrade”, and wait till it’s complete.

After Boot, Fans Revert to Rainbow and L-Connect 3 Loses Lighting & Speed Control – Requires Reboot

1. First, confirm that L-Connect 3 is on the latest version.

2. Go to Settings > General and input “7s” in the blank box to delay service startup.
➡ If the issue persists, try 12s.
➡ If still unresolved, initiate RMA for the controller or pump block.

If UNI FAN TL's controller is suddenly showing up as an "Unknown Device" under "Universal Serial Bus controller" or when L-Connect 3 suddenly cannot detect TL controller:
  • Physically disconnect the controller from the computer. 
  • Remove all controller info from all Device Manager categories.
  • Shut down the computer. 
  • Re-connect the controller, and let Windows re-discover it. 
The fan numbers in the L-CONNECT3 software are duplicated.
1. Make sure to connect the USB 2.0 9-PIN of TL controller directly to the motherboard, do not use a splitter.
 
2. Execute firmware update tool, click “Upgrade

3. Select Setting → TL LCD Screen→Reset all in L-CONNECT3.
4. Click the icon (as shown in the attached image) to confirm the fan connection locations.
5. Arrange the fans in numerical order on the L-CONNECT3 page according to the numbers on the fans.
 
6.Click APPLY.
 
One or more of my UNI FAN TL LCD screens is not functioning (e.g., only displaying the LIAN LI logo, or L-Connect 3 doesn’t fully recognize the fan).
  1. Ensure that all cables are properly connected. Try switching the order of the fans to check if the issue is related to the connection.
  2. Update to the latest version of L-Connect 3 and reorder the screen positions as needed.

 

How many TL controllers or TL LCD fans can be connected?

The number of fans or controllers you can connect is related to the motherboard and the USB port used. Please refer to the connection guide for detailed information.

TL LCD and the controller lose the USB connection time to time.

This happend to some AMD motherboard, please folow below steps to fix.

  1. Remove all LIAN LI controller USB cable manually
  2. Update motherboard BIOS to the latest version
  3. Download AMD latest chipset driver. Quick Link B550 , X570
  4. Reboot the PC and turn off again and connect all the USB cable and restart

 

One of LCD screen is not displaying after FW update.
  1. Ensure that it is connected to port 2/3/4 on the controller.
  2. If it doesn’t work, remove the power cable and connect it directly to the fan that is not displaying. Start to do FW update for single fan again.
Connected more than 7 TL fans to a port, the fan speed isn't stablize and the white color LED turns yellow.
Make sure to connect the power adapter to SATA to ensure stable operation.
UNI FAN TL LCD screen is laggy and sometime flashes.
Ensure that the TL LCD fans are not connected to the 1st port.
The L-Connect 3 doesn't detect TL series fans.
  1. Ensure that you are using version v2.X.X.
  2. Make sure to connect the USB 2.0 9-PIN of TL controller directly to the motherboard, do not use a splitter.
  3. Make sure that the connector of the TL LCD fan is connect to the pin side. 
Unable to control the TL LCD screen suddenly.
Start the L-Connect 3 background service by following the provided steps.
Issue
• L-Connect 3 not able to control, screen may display in
• All black
• Frozen
• Stop at LIAN LI logo

Fix Steps

1. Search for [Service]
2. Click[Run as administrator]

3. Right Click [L-Connect Background Service]
4. Click [Start]

5. Start L-Connect 3 again
6. L-Connect 3 and GA II LCD works now
